Door-to-Door Momentum: Manke Connects with Newington Voters

Tim Manke spent Thursday evening walking through southeastern Newington and found strong support along the way. Residents cited fiscal responsibility, the pool renovation project, and speeding on the Berlin Turnpike as key concerns.
The pool project, rejected in 2024, remained a hot-button issue. Manke criticized the way town leadership handled the proposal, saying both town pools should have been evaluated rather than just Mill Pond Park.
Another major topic was public safety. Manke pledged to pursue a regional solution, working with nearby towns to address the problem. As one supporter put it, “He’s the man for the job. I believe he will diligently lower our taxes.”
