On behalf of the Newington Republicans, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us at last night’s fundraiser. It was an incredible evening full of energy, determination, and a strong belief that our town deserves leadership that works for us.

Special thanks to our keynote speakers:
Mayor Erin Stewart, who has long been a strong voice for responsible leadership. Her exploring a run for governor demonstrates a big-picture vision, and her words last night reminded us of the kinds of principles we need in all levels of our government.
Matt Corey, thinking toward a bid for lieutenant governor, who brought thoughtful perspectives about what’s needed at the state level, especially in supporting towns like ours, helping small businesses, and ensuring everyday people are heard.
Gary Byron, native of Newington, former State Representative for the 27th District, and longtime radio host. Gary’s experience in the legislature and his ongoing role discussing public affairs, make him someone who bridges both local values and wider impact. His passion for our community and his ability to translate complicated issues into what really matters for Newington residents is something we all greatly appreciate.
Last night, more than anything, it was clear that change is needed in Newington. We need leadership that:
Listens to the concerns of everyone. Not just people with the same political affiliation or people they agree with.
Holds transparency, manages budgets responsibly, invests in infrastructure and schools in ways that reflect what residents want.
Brings experience, commitment to the community, and a track record of service. Tim Manke, as a lifelong resident who has served on Town Council and lived here with his family for decades, is that kind of person.
With your support, we believe Newington can move forward stronger. We believe that under Tim Manke’s leadership, the town can become more responsive, more transparent, and more focused on real priorities.
So, thank you again: to every donor, every volunteer, every neighbor who came out last night; you made this event a success. Together, we can make sure Newington has the leadership it deserves.
Let’s keep this momentum going.
