Below are some of the steps we plan on taking when we win the majority of your votes this November
•Putting Our Citizens First
Our first priority is to do what’s best for the people of this town. Too often, our opponents on both the Town Council and Board of Education say, “We’ll leave it to the professionals.” That’s a cop-out. We are elected to represent you, not to hand over our responsibility to unelected staff.
•Protecting Our Neighborhoods and Preserving Our Small-Town Character
When Republicans held the majority, we ensured that any new apartments or mixed-use developments were located along the Turnpike, not in our neighborhoods or downtown. We knew that was what residents wanted, and we listened. Even as the state continues to push for more high-density housing, we will stand firm to protect our town’s small town charm and prioritize the wishes of our citizens over state mandates.
•Responsible Oversight and Accountability
The Permanent Building Committee, created under Republican leadership, was established to provide oversight and ensure transparency on town building projects like the OFI building and the library. Unfortunately, the current majority has sidelined that process and allowed staff to make critical decisions without proper accountability. We will restore that oversight and return decision-making to the people you elected.
•Returning Control to the Board of Education
Right now, the Board of Education has handed nearly all control over to staff. That’s unacceptable.
We will modify policies that return authority to your elected representatives so they can make decisions based on what’s best for our students and our community, not just what’s easiest for the administration.
•Fiscal Responsibility That Puts Taxpayers First
We will carefully budget every dollar of taxpayer money, focusing on what directly benefits our residents and students. That means cutting unnecessary spending, holding departments accountable, and ensuring every investment delivers real value.
Our goal is simple: to keep our town affordable for families, protect the quality of our schools and services, and make sure your tax dollars are spent wisely, not wasted.
